The 3rd National Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on Responsible Agricultural Investment (RAI) in Lao PDRwill be held on September 28-29, 2023 at the Lao Plaza Hotel in Vientiane. The dialogue focuses on the practical implementation of RAI, bringing together private companies, producers, and government partners to exchange experiences and good practices and establish a common understanding of RAI.
The event includes masterclasses, a project marketplace, and critical panel sessions exploring opportunities and challenges for RAI among stakeholders. The dialogue will then draw lessons for discussing policy gaps to support stable and sustainable land-based investment.
The Investment Promotion Department, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Department of Agricultural Extension and Cooperatives, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry are co-hosting the event.
The event is co-supported by Mekong Region Land Governance (MRLG), Transformative Land Investments (TLI) & GIZ Promoting Responsible Governance of Investments in Land (RGIL).
