Guide to engaging the private sector in responsible agricultural investments

The “Guide to Engaging the Private Sector in Responsible Agricultural Investments” is a comprehensive resource developed by the International Land Coalition (ILC) with contributions and support from MRLG, to provide guidance on responsible investment in the agriculture sector. It outlines a step-by-step process for engaging the private sector in responsible agricultural investments, including practical tools and templates to support stakeholder engagement, risk assessment, and project planning. It also presents case studies of successful examples of private sector engagement that have resulted in positive social and environmental outcomes. The guide provides practical guidance on how to engage in a way that is respectful of human rights, promotes sustainable land use practices, and benefits local communities. This work comes from the Learning Collaborative, whose work in the Mekong region was supported by MRLG.
