Training of trainers manual on customary tenure documentation

The Training of Trainers (ToT) Manual on Customary Tenure Documentation provides structured guidance for preparing and implementing a training on customary tenure documentation. This Manual is complementary to the Guidebook on Documenting Customary Tenure in Myanmar (2d edition) available in Burmese and English languages. The Manual is a support tool for facilitators and trainers for capacitating field practitioners, community leaders and youths to document their local customary tenure practices. Developed by the Myanmar Alliance for the Recognition of Customary Tenure, the manual introduces the core principles of customary tenure, outlines facilitation methods, and details practical steps for documenting customary land use, governance systems, and cultural connections to land and natural resources. It also positions documentation as a practical tool for policy advocacy and aims to strengthen local capacity and participatory methods in support of formal recognition of customary tenure in Myanmar
